Photographs ranging from black and white to color and from realism to abstract are featured in this popular annual show. The spacious galleries, located in the historic Red Barn, are the perfect venue for viewing the large format photographs and small intimate images that reflect the diverse contemporary practices of both amateur and professional photographers. The show is especially appealing to children who search out diverse subjects such as animals, birds and flowers. Assorted subject matter and conceptual experimentation are continuing to enter the foreground of the Vermont vernacular to show the ever-evolving nature of photography with new technologies and formats along with technical manipulation. This exhibition is grounded in the Valley community and continues to inspire all who visit during the leaf-peeping season.

Mad Arts values the social responsibility of linking art to people; together across boundaries, to balance voices and open multiple perspectives. We operate with the understanding that art supports the agency to create story, a sense of belonging, and is a means to synchronize ourselves with the natural world.
